How about that smartie? I’d say she’s ready for her early entrance exams for college. We’re thinking Ivy League. OK, OK. We know she would sail through admissions at (the) Ohio State University with this, but we’d never (ever) let her be a Buckeye, so scratch that. I guess we’ll keep working!
Anyway, Suzi is really enjoying working with Sloane on all sorts of fun things. We’ll share some more reels soon. However, we probably should work on Sloane’s manners around guests. Our best bud Kyle came in for a visit and even though he was on his best behavior, Sloane wasn’t too gracious. I mean, the guy has pictures of our girl on his fridge and she wouldn’t even let him hold her. Sorry Kyle, we’ll try to work that out for the next visit! We did have a great time while he was in town though; hung out in Georgetown on Saturday, went to a Nationals baseball game that evening and afterwards squeezed in a few drinks until I convinced Kyle that it really was way past my bedtime. I have to say that the Nationals ballpark was a real disappointment. To be fair, I’m not a huge baseball fan, but am curious about the architectural decisions on a brand-spanking-new sports stadium in town. For instance, if you’ve seen Camden Yards, I think you’ll agree that it’s a beautiful and iconic place. By contrast, Nationals ballpark will probably look outdated in 5, certainly 10 years. There’s nothing architecturally significant anywhere. The scoreboard, which has the potential to be a nice identifier for any park, just looks like a random collection of rectangles. Ugh. Really uninspiring. If you’ve been and have seen something around a corner that I happened to miss, be sure to post. I’ll try to have pictures next time…
