Video arrives on the Ave! This is almost a week old so I wanted to post before it was outdated. If you’ve ever been around little ones, you know that when they pick up a new skill (or skillz), the rate of progress is amazing. I mean, Sloane is practically running 3Ks at this point.
OK, seriously. Our little girl has really been into the walking thing and we suspected she’d just take off at some point. She sure wasn’t going to start crawling. Well, at 10 1/2 months she gathered enough courage to walk across the living room to Suzi, and our backs have breathed a collective sigh of relief. Naturally, I’m encouraging a little futbolito (soccer) with her new pink soccer ball, so we’ll be sure to get pics of that up soon.
A few days prior, I was talking to my best man Evan and lamenting the fact that we were still waiting on that magic first tooth to show up. Sloane has shown signs of teething on and off for months, but nothing has come of it. Well, two days after she started training for her 3Ks, a little razor started to break the surface on her lower gums! On top of that, Suzi is thrilled that she’s started drinking out of a straw. Whew, that’s quite a start to the year!
A technical note. The video is a Quicktime file and requires the appropriate plugin (of course!). Most browsers should already have it, but if you don’t see anything at the top of the post or nothing plays, visit the following link to download and install; www.apple.com/quicktime/download/. I know that all Mac operating systems support Quicktime, as do Windows XP and Windows Vista. If you’re running an older version of the Windows OS, chances are you won’t be able to view the video. If this is the case, please comment in this post so I have a better idea of what format to use next time. Thanks!
