So we did our first Halloween as parents on Wednesday night and had a great time. The neighborhood we’re currently in is pretty small and all the homes face inward onto a common green area, forming a long oval. Perfect for a short, first-time trick or treat. Our friends Dave and Dalia were nice enough to invite us along with Ramsey, their 5 month old, and we were on our way!

Things started off pretty well; our neighbors at the first stop were handing out treats for both the costumed kids and their chaperones. So with beer in hand we continued our swing around the green. Sloane helped herself to a Snickers bar out of a neighbor’s basket, and she was a happy camper chewing on the wrapper the rest of the way. We saw some pretty good costumes out there. John Travolta was be-bopping around in his “Grease” wardrobe. Optimus Prime was out treating with Minnie Mouse. Harry Potter cruised by on a broom and we also saw some Jedi knights. Sloane opted for the classic pumpking oufit, and coincidentally, so did Ramsey. Make sure to check out the pictures in the photo section, they look great.
