Hi everyone…this is Matt, Greg’s older brother. Greg asked me if I’d like to post here on AndersonAve to share my good news, and so here it is. 

I’m engaged. 

A few weeks ago, while I was at ND for Sloane’s baptism, I asked Julie to marry me. And she said yes. She had traveled up with me for the baptism and although we had talked about getting married, she was surprised at the timing. 

I asked her in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart just behind the main altar, at the entrance to the small chapel in the rear of the church. She suspected that something was up, as I resorted to hiding (a failed attempt) the ring box in one of my baseball hats. What she didn’t know was that almost a month earlier I had made clandestine trips to DC and Northern Kentucky to make sure there were no concerns from our parents and to ask her Dad for his permission. I must say that traveling to both places without her knowing was TOUGH, but well worth it.

We are planning the wedding as you read this and have set the date for Nov 17th in St. Augustine. You can check out the progress/details over at my website AndersonDrive. I’ll see if Greg can throw some pictures up for you, so if you don’t see them, check back soon.
