How about that guest author! We were stoked when Matt decided to pop the question to Julie in South Bend with most everyone present, and are thrilled to welcome Julie to the family. And they’re blogging! Time to add Anderson Drive to the bookmarks list.

Here at the Ave, it’s the end of the month and time to check in on some pictures. A little note: I promise we actually get out of the house and run about town doing all sorts of fun stuff. However, Sloane likes to use these occasions as nap time, and while she’s gorgeous napping, it certainly makes for a more interesting picture when she’s a bit more attentive. We’ll do our best to grab some out-of-home pictures next month.

We did have our 4-month visit to the doc this morning (no pictures though), which was both pleasant and painful. She’s doing great with her weight and length, etc; they actually have percentiles for these things. Sloane is right down the middle, 50th percentile, with her weight but is moving beyond that with her length. We suspected this would be the case since her feet are a little large for her age! The painful part was her second round of shots. Ouch. She did great though and is responding to us so well that we’re able to calm her down pretty quickly.
