Funny story. Sloane recently asked me if she could name the new baby. After we talked about it for a few minutes I told her that Mom and Dad would probably be naming the baby but that I would love to hear her ideas. She thought for a moment and then said that she’d like to name the baby Reese, again. I then said, well we already have a Reese. She quickly said…No mom, I said “Reese Again!” Although that is quite clever, I still had to convince her that we only need one Reese in this house.

She thought a while longer and then said she’d like to name the new baby “Daddy!” I again told her that I thought this was a great name, but we also already have a “daddy” in our house and maybe we need to think of a name that was different than anyone living in our home.

After another minute or so, Sloane turned to me and said, “I know what I want to name the baby…Squirrel!”
