Holiday Swing

This time of year is my absolute favorite! There are always so many ways to enjoy the fall months and the holiday seasons that so quickly pass us by.

With the end of October, came Halloween and a much anticipated visit from Jeff, Elizabeth and Charlie! They arrived on the 31st and the girls were so excited to meet their new cousin. He definitely did not disappoint. He is such a sweet boy, not to mention extremely adorable!

Soon after everyone arrived, we got the kids suited up for a quick round of Trick-or-Treating in our neighborhood. Sloane was a potted flower, Reese was a garden gnome and Charlie was a (sweet) pea. Everyone looked great and they were a lot of fun to watch.

We spent the next few days doing a lot of relaxing and playing with the kids. Sloane kept everyone busy doing laps around the house while Reese just wanted to be held by all the new arms. Charlie was a trooper and didn’t let the girls bug him too much. Sloane was also Liz’s shadow and wanted to help with any task that involved Charlie. She’s all about the babies and was quite the little helper. We really, really enjoyed their visit and are thankful they made the trip to our crazy house!

The weekend following their visit we made a trip over to campus on a football weekend. Definitely one of our favorite fall activities. Campus is beautiful this time of year and to support game day visitors, the school has opened up the famous “tunnel” at Notre Dame Stadium on the Friday before a home game. We played a little Rudy and ran down the tunnel towards the field. We also got some pretty good pics.

Now that we are into November, the clocks have been turned back and all the leaves have fallen, we’re realizing that winter is knocking at our door. The next few weeks we’ll be getting into the holiday swing and preparing for feet upon feet of snow. Yay. We’ll be sure to post regularly so check back when you can and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

P.S. The tops of all the vertical photos are cropped slightly (so Greg tells me). To view the whole thing, simply drag the photo down with your cursor. We’ll try to correct this in the future (so Greg tells me), but just plan on this going forward.
